Using vortex action, the Vornado EH1-0028-06 DVH Digital Vortex Heater evenly distributes warm air across the room. There are no cold spots as air is continually heated and circulated through the oscillating convex grille. And since it accomplishes this more quickly than its competitors, you actually save on energy costs. This is because heat settings can be lowered in less time.
The EH1-0028-06 uses a non-glowing heat element that can generate 5,188 BTU/per hour when adjusted to High setting, and 2,559 when set to Low. At the High setting, electric power used is 1,500 watts, while Low uses 800.
With this capacity the heater can quickly heat a room sized 16' x 16' with a ceiling of average height. Equipped with automatic climate control, you do not need a manual thermostat as the heater constantly delivers the desired heat by regulating heat output and fan speed. All you need to do is set the desired temperature and forget about it.
Adjustment is accomplished through a digital control panel mounted at the top of the heater. It consists of the power, mode, and temperature adjustment buttons, and an LCD display indicating temperature levels and setting. In addition to the High and Low heat settings, a third option allows you to run the fan without turning on the heater. Thus, you can also use the EH1-0028-06 for circulating cool air in summer.
Safety features are incorporated into the Vornado EH1-0028-06 DVH Digital Vortex Heater. It has a tip-over switch that shuts power if it falls over. A thermal cut-off prevents overheating by cutting power if it detects excessively high temperature. Although the heater generates plenty of heat, its casing, including the grill, is always cool to touch.
The heater is compact, measuring only 12" D x 9.5" W x 12" H and weighing approximately 6 lbs. This, along with a recessed handle at the back, makes it easy to move the heater from one room to another.
