Using a patented energy-saving tungsten halogen tube that produces zero emissions for its heating element, the Sunpentown PH-12A Electric Space Heater can be used safely indoors in your small rooms, garage, or work area. Since the radiation produced by halogen electric space heaters are directly absorbed by skin and clothing even before heating the surrounding air, they are also suitable for use in poorly insulated rooms and even outdoors on your patio.
The 1,200-watt tungsten halogen tube has a lifespan of over 13,000 hours. It is capable of quickly and efficiently producing even radiant heat with a heat span of 9 – 14 square meters. Thus, you can continue to have fun or party outdoors even late into a cold night.
The heating element is encased in a durable iron housing that is both weather- and dust-resistant. It is powder coated with a dry black enamel that is electrostatically applied, and heat cured causing it to melt into the iron. This provides superior rust protection.
Heat from the tube radiates through a safety glass that is heat-resistant. Behind it is an aluminum reflector sending out the heat and light emitted at the rear end of the tube. The casing can either be mounted on a wall, or on an optional stand assembly for flexibility. With this option, you can bring your electric space heater to any room in your house, or out on your patio. A 13-foot long power cord is installed on the casing for powering the heater up.
