Infrared heaters transfer heat from one body with a high temperature to another with a lower temperature via electromagnetic radiation without the need of contact. In the case of the SCI-Resource Partner G3-1000 EdenPure Infrared Quartz Heater, the heated body is a filament heated by electric power. It is protected by a quartz glass tube that is capable of withstanding high temperatures.
The heat generated by the filament inside the quartz tubes or lamps is transferred to patented cured copper tube exchangers. The heat in the copper tubes then provides soft and moist heat into the room riding its humidity. A fan with an airflow of 105 CFM is installed inside the heater to assist in the movement of the heated air. As no combustion is involved, neither oxygen nor humidity is reduced.
The G3-1000 EdenPure has a rated output of 5,000 BTU. With its six commercial infrared quartz tubes with a total wattage of 1,483 and three heat exchangers consisting of copper tubes, it is capable of heating a room with a size of 1,000 square feet quickly and efficiently. An electronic thermostat allows the setting of the temperature between 60 - 80°F. This can be set either through the control panel mounted at the front of the unit, or through an infrared remote control.
Encased in an ABS copolymer cabinet highlighted with a wood burl accent, the infrared quartz heater makes an attractive appliance sitting in a corner of your room. Underneath this cabinet is an additional galvanized steel protective shell. It is equipped with over eight feet of electric cord expanding your options on where to set it down. The cord consists of 14 gauge wires with a three-pronged plug.
The G3-1000 EdenPure has dimensions of 17" H x 13" W x 18" D with a weight of approximately 35 lbs. Although it is neither excessively bulky nor heavy, it is fitted with caster wheels for conveniently moving it to another room.
