Combining a ceramic heater with an air ionizer, the Lasko 760000 Cyclonic Room Heater effectively hits two birds with a single stone. In addition to keeping you warm and toasty, it also cleans the air of microscopic particles making it healthier and safer for persons with allergies or other respiratory issues.
Heat generated by the ceramic heating element is circulated around the room with its Glide-System Pivot. You can use this to direct the flow of warm air where you need it. You can also choose between two heat settings depending on your desired level of temperature. At the high setting the heater can generate 5,118 BTUs, while at the low, this is reduced to 2,559 BTUs. The higher heat setting, however, requires a power wattage of 1,500, while the lower only needs 750 watts.
An adjustable thermostat further helps regulate warmth, turning the ceramic heater on or off depending on the ambient temperature and the pre-set desired level. Adjustments can be done through intuitive electronic controls mounted on the control panel.
A 9-hour timer can also be set to automatically start or turn off the heater at a pre-determined time. This allows you to start heating your room even before walking into it, or to shut it perhaps an hour before walking up to save on heating costs.
And you don't even have to get up from your couch or bed to set all these. The Lasko 760000 comes with a remote control that accesses all of its functions.
As an option, an ionizer can be incorporated into the heater. This spews out negative ions into the air. Because opposites attract, these seek out and bond with positive ions, including dust, bacteria, pollen, and smoke, until they are too heavy to float in the air where they can be inhaled. They are weighted down to the floor where they can be cleaned with regular methods.
