Standing a shade less than 11 inches with a width of 30½ and depth of 6½, the Air King 8605 Low-Profile Die Cast Heater can be installed unobtrusively along the baseboards of your walls. Colored with a neutral white and gray, along with the chromed grille at its top, the heater does not clash with your room's décor regardless of its color.
The heater is built out of metal and UL-approved plastic. Weighing less than 12 pounds, it can be easily carried from one room to the next.
The Air King heater relies on solid die cast heating elements, using only convection to heat the room. As heated air emanates from the heater, it rises to make the room warm and toasty. Because it is in the very nature of warm air to rise, the heater does not need a fan to move air heated inside the machine out into the room. This means that the Air King 8605 is a quiet operator with no whirring or humming.
Featuring two heat settings, you can choose between 1,500 watts with an output of 5,118 BTUs and 750 watts with 2,559 BTUs. You can opt for the low setting when ambient temperature is not too low so you can save on your heating costs. With these outputs, the heater can easily fill a 150-square-meter room with warm and comfortable air. To further calibrate heat levels as well as save on your electric bill, the heater is equipped with an adjustable thermostat.
Controlling the Air King 8605 Low-Profile Die Cast Heater is easy as it has only two dials –one for choosing the heat setting and another for setting the thermostat. These are mounted at the front of the heater.
